Veo 3 Price in India: What an 8-Second AI Video Really Costs in ₹

The Veo 3 price in India is not one number. Depending on where you use Google’s video model, an 8-second clip can cost anywhere from about ₹20 to over ₹450. The price depends on the tier (Veo 3.1, Fast or Lite), whether you include audio, the resolution, and whether you pay through a Google subscription, the developer API or a multi-model studio. This guide works out the rupee cost of one 8-second clip on each route, using official prices as of October 2026. It also shows the exact credit prices in InstaStudio’s AI video generator, our own studio. Prices change often, so check before you buy.

Disclosure: InstaStudio is made by InstaDataHelp, the publisher of this blog. Where Google’s own plans are cheaper, we say so.

Veo 3 or Veo 3.1: which one are you actually paying for?

Most people still search for “Veo 3”, but the version on sale today is Veo 3.1. Google’s Gemini API pricing page and its Flow credits help page both list Veo 3.1 in three tiers:

  • Veo 3.1 (Quality): the full model, with cinematic detail and native dialogue, music and sound effects.
  • Veo 3.1 Fast: quicker and much cheaper, still with audio. Good for most social media clips.
  • Veo 3.1 Lite: the cheapest tier, still with audio. Good for drafts and simple scenes.

Veo clips are short: 4, 6 or 8 seconds per generation. Everything below compares an 8-second clip, the most common length.

The four ways to pay for Veo in India

  1. Google AI subscription (Flow). Google’s India subscriptions page lists AI Plus at ₹399 a month (200 Flow credits), AI Pro at ₹1,950 a month (1,000 Flow credits), and AI Ultra from ₹6,500 a month. You spend Flow credits to make videos in Google Flow.
  2. Free daily credits. According to Google, everyone gets 50 Flow credits a day, with or without a subscription. Unused daily credits do not carry over.
  3. Gemini API (for developers). Pay per second of video, billed in US dollars.
  4. Multi-model studios such as InstaStudio. You buy rupee credits and use them on Veo or any other model.

Veo 3 price in India: one 8-second clip, route by route

Here is what one 8-second clip costs on each route. The Flow figures assume you use your whole monthly allowance. On AI Pro that works out to ₹1.95 per credit (₹1,950 ÷ 1,000). The API figures use the 9 October 2026 interbank rate of ₹96.71 per US dollar and exclude GST and bank forex charges. InstaStudio figures use the Pro plan rate (₹1,999 for 14,000 credits, about ₹0.143 per credit, including GST).

Tier (8 s, with audio) Google Flow on AI Pro Gemini API (1080p) InstaStudio Pro plan (1080p)
Veo 3.1 (Quality) 100 credits ≈ ₹195 $3.20 ≈ ₹309 3,200 credits ≈ ₹457
Veo 3.1 Fast 20 credits ≈ ₹39 $0.96 ≈ ₹93 1,200 credits ≈ ₹171
Veo 3.1 Lite 10 credits ≈ ₹19.50 $0.64 ≈ ₹62 400 credits (720p) ≈ ₹57

Flow credit costs are per generation, as listed by Google for non-Ultra subscribers. Google’s help page does not give a resolution for each Flow tier. API rates are $0.40, $0.12 and $0.08 per second at 1080p.

The honest takeaway: if you only want Veo and you will use your full allowance every month, Google AI Pro is the cheapest way to make Veo videos in India. Developers who write their own code come second. A studio costs more per Veo clip. You pay that extra for other things: many models, rupee billing and credits that do not expire.

These numbers come straight from InstaStudio’s live model catalogue. Credits are the provider’s dollar cost × 1,000, rounded up. The last column uses the ₹79 Starter pack (500 credits, about ₹0.158 per credit).

Veo setting Credits ≈ ₹ on Pro plan ≈ ₹ with Starter pack
Veo 3.1, 8 s, 720p or 1080p, with audio 3,200 ₹457 ₹506
Veo 3.1, 8 s, 1080p, no audio 1,600 ₹228 ₹253
Veo 3.1, 8 s, 4K, with audio 4,800 ₹685 ₹758
Veo 3.1, 4 s, 720p, with audio 1,600 ₹228 ₹253
Veo 3.1 Fast, 8 s, 1080p, with audio 1,200 ₹171 ₹190
Veo 3.1 Fast, 8 s, 1080p, no audio 800 ₹114 ₹126
Veo 3.1 Fast, 8 s, 4K, with audio 2,800 ₹400 ₹442
Veo 3.1 Lite, 8 s, 720p, with audio 400 ₹57 ₹63
Veo 3.1 Lite, 8 s, 720p, no audio 240 ₹34 ₹38
Veo 3.1 Extend (adds about 7 s), with audio 2,800 ₹400 ₹442

A 14,000-credit Pro month covers about 4 full Veo 3.1 clips with audio, 11 Veo 3.1 Fast clips or 35 Veo 3.1 Lite clips. See every model on the InstaStudio pricing page.

Why the same 8 seconds can cost ₹34 or ₹685

Veo is priced per second of output, and four settings change that rate:

  • Tier. On the API, Quality costs five times as much per second as Lite at 1080p.
  • Audio. On fal.ai, Veo 3.1 costs $0.20 a second without audio and $0.40 with audio at 720p or 1080p. Leaving audio off halves the price.
  • Resolution. 4K costs more. For full Veo 3.1 on fal.ai it is $0.60 a second with audio.
  • Duration. A 4-second clip costs half as much as an 8-second clip.

There are hidden costs too. Prompts rarely work on the first try, so budget for two or three attempts per usable shot. The cheapest workflow is to draft on Fast or Lite and only switch to Quality for the final take.

When InstaStudio makes sense for Veo, and when it doesn’t

Choose Google AI Pro if you want only Google’s models, you will use most of your 1,000 monthly credits, and you are happy with a monthly subscription. Google says monthly Flow credits do not roll over.

Choose the API if you are a developer building video into a product. If your app calls several AI providers, our InstaRoute AI gateway gives you one OpenAI-compatible API for many providers.

Choose InstaStudio if you want Veo and other models in one place, so you can test a prompt cheaply on Seedance 1.5 Pro (260 credits for 5 s at 720p with audio) and finish it on Veo. It also suits you if you prefer to pay in rupees by UPI, cards or net banking through PayU, or don’t want a subscription that renews itself. Plans are prepaid for 30 days and never auto-renew. Plan credits roll over while a plan is active, pack credits never expire, and failed generations are refunded automatically. What cheaper models can do: real InstaStudio outputs

None of the clips below were made with Veo. They show what budget models produce for a small part of a Veo clip’s cost.

AI-generated with InstaStudio. Model: PixVerse V6, 5 s, 720p. Prompt: “A chai vendor pours cutting chai into kulhads at dawn, steam rising, cinematic slow motion”. This costs 250 credits silent (about ₹36 on Pro), against 1,600 credits for a 4-second Veo 3.1 clip with audio.
AI-generated with InstaStudio. Model: MiniMax H3, 5 s. Prompt (summarised): a product shot of a statistics view on a desktop monitor. A 5-second 768p clip costs 300 credits (about ₹43 on Pro).

  3. Open the Video tool and choose Veo 3.1, Veo 3.1 Fast or Veo 3.1 Lite.
  4. Write a detailed prompt. Include the subject, the action, the camera move, the light and, if you want sound, the dialogue or ambience. Add a start frame image for more control.
  5. Set 4, 6 or 8 seconds, choose 16:9 or 9:16, and pick a resolution. Turn audio on or off.
  6. Read the credit estimate on screen before you run, and change the settings if it is more than you planned. If a generation fails, the credits are refunded automatically.
  7. Generate and download. Online sellers can find ready-made formats in the seller kit, and the Explore gallery has prompts to adapt.

Five ways to spend less on Veo

  • Draft on Lite, finish on Quality. A Lite draft costs about ₹57 on Pro, against ₹457 for a full Veo 3.1 clip.
  • Turn audio off for B-roll you will cover with music or a voiceover. On Veo 3.1 that halves the cost.
  • Use 4-second clips for cutaways and transitions.
  • Avoid 4K unless the clip is going on a big screen. 1080p is enough for Reels and Shorts.
  • Use Google’s 50 free daily Flow credits for quick experiments if you already have a Google account.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Veo 3 price in India?

As of October 2026, an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip with audio costs about ₹195 in Flow credits on Google AI Pro (₹1,950 a month for 1,000 credits), about ₹309 on the Gemini API before GST, and 3,200 credits (about ₹457) on InstaStudio’s Pro plan. Prices change, so check before buying.

Is Veo 3 free in India?

Partly. Google gives everyone 50 Flow credits a day. That is enough for two Veo 3.1 Fast generations (20 credits each) or five Lite generations (10 credits each), but not a Quality clip, which needs 100 credits.

How much does Veo 3.1 Fast cost in rupees?

An 8-second Veo 3.1 Fast clip uses 20 Flow credits (about ₹39 on AI Pro). On the Gemini API it costs $0.96 at 1080p (about ₹93). On InstaStudio it costs 1,200 credits with audio (about ₹171 on Pro) or 800 credits without audio.

Why is Veo 3.1 with audio so much more expensive?

Veo generates dialogue, music and sound effects together with the picture, and providers charge for it. On fal.ai, Veo 3.1 costs $0.40 a second with audio and $0.20 without, so audio doubles the price.

Can I pay for Veo with UPI in India?

On InstaStudio you can pay with UPI, cards or net banking through PayU, and plans never auto-renew. For Google’s plans, check the payment options shown at checkout.

Which Google AI plan includes the most Flow credits for Veo?

Google’s India page lists AI Plus with 200 Flow credits, AI Pro with 1,000, and AI Ultra with 10,000 or 25,000, depending on the tier. Ultra subscribers also pay fewer credits for Veo 3.1 Fast and Lite.

Is Veo the best value for short social media videos?

Not always. For many Reels and product clips, cheaper models are good enough. In InstaStudio, a 5-second 720p Seedance 1.5 Pro clip with audio costs 260 credits (about ₹37), and Kling 2.6 Pro costs 351 credits (about ₹50) for a silent 5-second clip.
