Viewing a shared screen
AI summaries & minutes
The minutes write themselves — and arrive by email.
When the meeting ends, the AI turns the transcript into a summary — overview, key points, decisions and action items — and the minutes go out as an emailed report link. Pre-added participants automatically receive the recording and the report.
Two AI engines stand behind it: Claude (through OPUSMAX) first, with OpenAI as the fallback — using the organiser’s own key first if they have added one. A pre-flight check warns the host if AI is unavailable before the meeting starts.

What is InstaDataTalk?
InstaDataTalk is a browser-based video meeting platform that can run under your own brand, on your own domain and storage — a self-hosted alternative to Zoom and Google Meet. It includes HD video, screen sharing, on-device live captions with translation, an in-call AI Copilot, AI summaries and minutes, cloud recording, polls, Q&A, chat and a whiteboard.
Is it free to start?
Yes. Create an account at instadatatalk.instadatahelp.com/register and start meeting — the app states no credit card and no seat limits. If you want InstaDataTalk on your own brand, domain and storage, book a branded deployment and we will scope it with you.
Do participants need to install anything?
No. Meetings run in desktop and mobile browsers, and guests join with a link. The only optional install is the InstaDataTalk Helper, used for full operating-system remote control during support sessions.
How private are the live captions?
Captions are transcribed by a self-hosted Moonshine speech model running inside each participant’s browser, so the audio for captions stays on the device. If a viewer chooses a translation language, the caption text is translated on the server.
Which languages can captions be translated into?
Each viewer can keep the original captions or switch to English, Hindi, Bengali, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese or Portuguese — independently of everyone else in the meeting.
What does the AI Copilot do?
During a meeting, anyone in the room can ask the Copilot questions about the live transcript — for example “What decisions have been made?” or “What did I miss in the last few minutes?”.
Which AI writes the summaries and minutes? Can we use our own key?
Summaries and minutes use Claude through OPUSMAX first, with OpenAI as a fallback. Organisers can add their own OpenAI key, which is tried before the server key, and admins set the OPUSMAX key in the admin portal. A pre-flight check warns the host if AI is unavailable.
Where are recordings stored, and for how long?
Recordings and shared files are stored on local disk or in S3-compatible object storage such as Backblaze B2, and served through time-limited links. By default a daily clean-up deletes recordings older than 10 days. After each meeting the recording can be downloaded as an MP4.
Can it carry our brand and run on our domain?
Yes. In a branded deployment, the product name, logo and colours are set to yours across the app and its emails, and each new domain runs as its own tenant.
Does it support breakout rooms, SSO or calendar sync?
Not today. Invites are sent by email with an .ics calendar attachment that works in any calendar app. Recaps can be sent by email or shared as a WhatsApp link.
