IDS and IPS work together to provide real-time monitoring and protection against potential threats, ensuring the network’s security and integrity.

Antivirus software is a well-known tool for network security that protects against malware, viruses, and other malicious software. Antivirus software scans files and programs for known patterns or signatures of malware and removes or quarantines any detected threats. It is essential to keep antivirus software up to date to ensure protection against the latest threats, as new malware variants are constantly emerging.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols are widely used to secure data transmission over the internet. These protocols establish an encrypted connection between a web server and a user’s browser, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the data being transmitted. SSL and TLS are commonly used for secure online transactions, such as e-commerce websites, where sensitive information like credit card details is exchanged.

Network Access Control (NAC) is a tool that helps organizations control and manage access to their networks. NAC ensures that only authorized devices and users can connect to the network by enforcing security policies and authentication mechanisms. It verifies the identity and compliance of devices and users before granting access, preventing unauthorized or compromised devices from accessing the network.
