The crawler starts at your homepage and follows every internal link it finds — just like a search engine bot — collecting up to 300 HTML pages across your site (assets, images and external links are skipped automatically). The discovered list drops into the editor, where you can prune it before generating the final XML. Upload the file to your site root and submit it in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. One sitemap may contain up to 50,000 URLs; for very large sites, generate in sections and combine with a sitemap index.
