Unlike naive converters that dump plain text, this tool reads the exact position, width and font size of every piece of text on each PDF page, then rebuilds the document structure: lines are re-assembled from glyph runs, paragraphs are detected from line spacing, alignment is computed from each paragraph's left/right margins, and larger text becomes real Word headings. The output is a genuine Office Open XML .docx (not renamed HTML), generated entirely in your browser, so it opens flawlessly in Microsoft Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice — and your document never leaves your device. A legacy .doc download is also available for very old Word versions.
Note: complex multi-column layouts and tables are linearized, and images are not carried over (use PDF to JPG for visuals). For scanned PDFs, run OCR first — scans contain pictures of text, not text.
