About this Character Counter
Character limits matter: 160 for an SMS, 280 for a post on X, about 60 characters before Google truncates a title tag. This tool counts Unicode characters correctly (emoji count as one character, not two) and also shows the UTF-8 byte size, which is what APIs and databases usually enforce.
